Sorry about the lack of updates...for a year. OOPS.

I'll be redoing this layout sometime soon and update with more art when my film is done. It ate away 8 months of my life!
Anyways, here's some screenshots of finished scenes from my film, "Laser'd." I won't upload screenshots from every scene as to give away too much before seeing the finished film, though. ;)

Yes, we kept the ugly funny face that was originally a joke I did. I had to animate it! It was fun lol.

Only did the monster here. THIS TOOK SO MUCH BLOOD AND SWEAT. Proud of it though. Joster animated by Lisa Yan as well as rough keys of the scene, layout by Charlie Richards.

Costumed Character Designs

Designs based on costumed model drawings we did. The "Marie Antoinette" type lady was holding a stuffed poodle in the original pose but I decided to make her walk a pitbull instead, because yeah I think I'm funny. The one viewed from above was reading a newspaper but the costume looked like a zoot suit so I made him play a trumpet instead. The chef day I did my best life drawings so he was wicked fun to do : D

3D Character Animation

This is from last semester, but finally rendered it just now. Took over an hour to render all the frames...

Buddy Walk + Claw Swipe Rough Animation Test

Rough animation test. Film won't have a full walk cycle of Buddy, since this scene only shows Buddy chasing Joster from the top half of his body, but since this is just a rough test I decided to do a full walk cycle for most of it, minus the last part where he whacks Joster away (Joster not animated in this.)

We cut down a lot. WE WANT SLEEP. Less exposition, gets straight to the point. Less work for us. Not much may change, 'cept we're talking about removing the scene where Joster's thrown out the window.
