Secret of NIMH Head Rotation/Lip Sync/Expression

Wow this was a fun project! A lot of work, but worth it xD Like most people I'd spend hours and hours each day in the labs for a few weeks working on this, only for 14 seconds of animation!

We had to take any animated character of our choice, rotate the head, lip sync the mouth to the word "Meow" and give the character an expression reacting to him/her saying "meow." I chose Jeremy the crow from Secret of NIMH because Don Bluth is my favorite animator and I love NIMH, and Jeremy is my favorite character from that movie. He was also fun to animate! I added extra animation with Dragon the cat at the end xD

I sorta messed up on the head rotation, I accidentally did 2 extra frames rotating in the front view, and we had to do 16 in total. So there's 2 less in the back so the front rotation goes slower than the back xD Ah well, I wouldn't have had enough time to fix the whole thing. But Michel still loves it yayy (:

So turn your volume up cause there's sound!

Character in Sequence

An assignment for character design, we had to do a sequence of a character in action. I did a sabertooth tiger who gets his teeth stuck in the ground haha. The stretchy poses were fun to draw.

Alien Environment Painting

I lost sleep over this lol.
Umm, we were supposed to come up with an alien environment. I did some space ship-y looking buildings, kinda failed on the reflection of the sky in the windows and wish I didn't do the sky so saturated. Ah well.

Pink Panther Walk

Finished Pink Panther walk. I didn't like inking on the computer frame by frame, the tail turned out all jiggly lol. (hard to tell with this so small, but the base of the tail expands a bit lol. My inking on the computer can be a bit shaky x.x) Ah well.
The background panning annoyed me because it took me forever to get right :K Stupid Animate Pro hahaha.

Big/Small Character

For layout, we had to draw a big and small character in one composition. I did an eagle and a mouse, tried to emphasize how big the eagle was with the wings, but meh. Don't like how they came out.

Ball and Tail

Haven't updated.
/lazy
This is from December, but the file was corrupted so I had to re-export it and got around to that weeks after 2nd semester started hahaha.

Another animation assignment. We were supposed to take a ball and give it an animal tail, and act it out like a real animal without giving it a face, legs, ect.
